We Are Manchester

This uber cool couple are due to get married in October at the Higher Trap Hotel in Burnley.

The initial idea for the pre wedding shoot was to focus on the Northern Quarter of Manchester. However as Chris and Olliviah got into the swing of things, we just kept walking and shooting.

We eventually ended up in Cathedral gardens having covered Victoria station, Shude Hill and Urbis as well as the Northern Quarter.

This was a very special shoot in a very special part of town in light of recent events in our very special city.

In nervous times such as these we are not intimidated and not scared to illustrate our amazing city and its people going about their business as so many before us.

As the light faded on a September evening we carried on shooting and eventually bumped into some skateboarders practicing in Cathedral Gardens who very kindly helped us get a couple of shots.

At Drew Findlay Photography we LOVE Pre Wedding Shoots as much as our couples do. We pick a place for a small adventure and see what comes out of the camera.

In the pre wedding shoot of Chris and Olliviah. We reaffirmed what we already knew. Which was that we are lucky enough to live in a really cool diverse and hospitable city.

We have an environment consisting of old and new, rich and poor but with an overriding ethos of respect.
